Mt. Olive One-Stop Center in Dayton providing free seasonal flu shot vouchers to unemployed

Vouchers can be redeemed at select area CVS/pharmacy stores and MinuteClinics

DAYTON, Ohio-The Mt. Olive One-Stop Center is providing free seasonal flu shot vouchers to the unemployed as part of CVS Caremark's initiative to distribute 100,000 seasonal flu shot vouchers to the unemployed nationwide.

The Mt. Olive One-Stop Center, located at 502 Pontiac Ave. in Dayton, is distributing 500 vouchers to the unemployed to be redeemed at local CVS/pharmacy stores and MinuteClinic locations. Anyone currently unemployed who is 18 years of age or older and can show proper identification is eligible to receive a voucher. The vouchers are limited to one per person.

The vouchers will be distributed at the Mt. Olive One-Stop Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through November 30, 2009. They can be redeemed at select CVS/pharmacy stores and MinuteClinics through the end of the year. The Mt. Olive One-Stop Center will provide transportation to the nearest participating CVS/pharmacy or MinuteClinic for individuals when they pick up their voucher. The Mt. Olive One-Stop Center is a collaborative effort between Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Substance Abuse Resources & Disability Issues (SARDI) within the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. The Mt. Olive One-Stop Center project is funded by a five-year, $2.5 million dollar grant from the federal Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT).
