Medical Students Seek Walkers/Runners for AIDS 5K Benefit
Dayton, OH—You can walk or run with your friends and family, enjoy
the beautiful rolling grounds around the campus of Wright State University,
and help people suffering with HIV/AIDS at the same time.
Boonshoft School of Medicine medical students affiliated
with Wright State Chapters of Physicians for Human Rights and the American
Medical Student Association will hold a 5K Walk/Run Benefit to support
the “HIV/AIDS Financial Need Fund,” a local resource that
assists HIV/AIDS patients, who do not qualify for other sources of funding,
with emergency monetary assistance.
The event is scheduled for March 31, 2007, rain or shine. Registration
on the day of the event begins at 8:00 a.m., with the event starting
at 9:30 a.m. in the McLin Gym in Wright State’s Nutter Center,
3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy, Dayton. Pre-registration by March 15 is $20.00.
Registration on the day of the event is $25.00. A t-shirt for race day
is guaranteed only with pre-registration. Prizes will be awarded in four
different age categories for both men and women.
