Mary L. Budzak, M.D., Graduates from National Fellowship Program
DAYTON, OHIO—Mary L. Budzak, M.D., is one of forty-five physicians
nationwide graduating from the 2002-2003 National Institute for Program
Director Development (NIPDD). This fellowship is sponsored by the Association
of Family Practice Residency Directors.
Budzak is an assistant professor of family medicine and is the pre-doctoral
director at Wright State University School of Medicine, Department of
Family Medicine. She holds an M.D., from the University of Illinois-Rockford
School of Medicine, and completed her residency at The Ohio State University
Hospitals. She is board certified in family practice and is affiliated
with the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Academy
of Family Physicians, and the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians.
The NIPDD provides a fellowship for family physician educators who want
to enhance and develop leadership skills and become better prepared as
directors of residency programs. The fellowship provides enrichment courses
on organizational leadership, management skills, accreditation procedures,
finance, faculty development, medical staff issues and resident development.
The Association of Family Practice Residency Directors is a national
association, which promotes excellence in family practice graduate education,
represents family practice residency directors, develops resident education,
provides networking opportunities, and enhances administrative operation
of family practice residencies.
