"Waiting to Inhale": Free Program
to Stop Smoking begins Feb. 2
DAYTON, OHIO -- "Waiting to Inhale," a holistic approach to
stopping smoking, will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in February
from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wright State University's Kettering Center, 140
E. Monument Street in Dayton.
"Waiting to Inhale" is free and open to anyone who is serious
about quitting smoking. Participants are urged to attend as many classes
as possible. For more information, contact Joy Burgess at the Center
for Healthy Communities at 208-6856.
According to Burgess, the holistic approach helps smokers to use a range
of healthy behaviors to stop smoking, including healthy eating, exercise
and movement, stress management, relaxation techniques and meditation.
"Waiting to Inhale" is sponsored by the Center for Healthy
Communities, the East Dayton Health Center, the Dr. Charles R. Drew West
Dayton Health Center and the Combined Health District.
