2007 Web Survey: Suggestions for Improvement

How do you suggest we improve the School of Medicine web site?
  • a hierarchical map of offices/dept's, culminating with a listing of programs/degrees available in each. 2. maybe a popup or alt text over current dept. links with info about what degrees/progs. are IN that dept.
  • add library link
  • adding more frequent asked questions
  • As a current student, when I log into the IDTL site, if I accidentally input a bad password, I must restart my browser to re-enter a new password. Perhaps you could make a way to automatically attempt relogin.
  • At this time, have no suggestions.
  • BUT there are several dead end sites and links that indicate human structure but just take you to a calendar. this is annoying.
  • change listing of links, ie: putting 10 links in a list format in the middle of the page. Make them into link buttoms
  • Content wise it is excellent. Format can be made more inviting and interactive
  • Entering the course list can take a few tries, otherwise its quite good.
  • for A G P include easily accessible form
  • Give more information for status of application, and post interview times when granted in addition to calling.
  • Have not explored enough to know.
  • I don't. I like the simple color scheme. It is not distracting to the eye, so you can find what you are looking for.
  • I only visited the ARCH website. I think the information could be reorganized to be easier to tease through.
  • I think it's good for now
  • I would like to see how many students recieved their first chioce in matching second, etc.
  • im not sure
  • imroved navigation aids
  • Include a map.
  • Include information about your current residents
  • Include more info about Admission
  • Include more information about the curriculum, and how the residency program is set up in terms of resident rotations, didactics, and surgical training modalities. I would like to see more information regarding military residents, any special or extra training, etc. I would also like to see the Residents Interviewed section again, where residents answer frequently asked questions about the program.
  • It can be difficult to find a specific link. The search is frustrating.
  • It is difficult to find the login link for personal information about an application.
  • its fine
  • it's perfect
  • Larger fonts
  • Links to researchers PubMed records, lists of their publications and a clear statement of what name and/or initials they publish under
  • List outgoing residency information, provide a more complete site map, more pictures of the area and school (some in high enough quality to make my desktop), and I would enjoy the ability to download a pamphlet to print and view off line.
  • Locating contact information for individuals is difficult.
  • looks like you have been working on it
  • Make a clear and easy link to the university home page.
  • Make a direct link from letter to application
  • Make sure all faculty and departments have accessable numbers and addresses
  • Making the wording more "translatible".
  • Maybe explain about the classes more.
  • More bulleted items, highlights, condensed information. The site is difficult to read because there is little structure to the titles, subtitles, and text.
  • More direct access to application, too 'cluttered'
  • More links and pictures
  • more obvious data
  • More personalization for each residency program.
  • More pictures and info on residents and students.
  • more pictures of the new residents

  • NOT SURE
  • not sure
  • Not sure
  • not sure really
  • please include when the course starts, deadlines for applications and type of masters offered (taught or research based).
  • provide more specifically about admission requirements
  • Sample suggested course per quater.
  • see #4
  • see number 4
  • streamline secondary application process
  • The secondary app info is a little confusing because it states one has to be emailed in order to fill it out. It gives the prospective student the impression that they can not fill out the secondary without first being invited to do so when the reality is that one need only have an AAMCAS ID# in order to complete the app.
  • to add clear information
  • Update applicant status page more often
  • Update application statuses more frequently
  • update the photos and get bios for the newest faculty members
  • Updating more frecuently. There are still the names of the last year residents!
  • When you refer prospective students to the web site, make sure the info is really ON the web site.
  • You could have more information, but I think it is fine now.
