Class of 2007 Match Results — Sorted by Name

Boonshoft School of Medicine had 90 graduating medical students assigned to residency programs through the National Resident Matching Program on March 15, 2007. About 43 percent matched in a primary care field (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics combined, Pediatrics); the balance matched in 13 other specialties ranging from Anesthesiology to Urology. About one in five chose residencies in the Greater Dayton area; half will remain in Ohio; while the rest will start their residencies in 19 other states from Florida to Washington state.

Results by specialty were: Anesthesiology: 4.4%: Emergency Medicine: 11.1%; Family Medicine: 11.1%; Internal Medicine: 12.2%; Medicine/Emergency Medicine: 1.1%; Medicine/Pediatrics: 5.6%; Neurology: 1.1%; Neurosurgery: 1.1%; Obstetrics & Gynecology: 6.7%; Ophthalmology: 1.1%; Orthopaedic Surgery: 7.8%; Otolaryngology: 1.1%; Pediatrics: 12.2%; Pediatrics/Emergency Medicine: 1.1%; Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation: 1.1%; Psychiatry: 7.8%; Radiology: 2.2%; Surgery: 8.9%; Transitional Year: 1.1%; and Urology: 1.1%.
