Two student scholars each from the 2005 and the 2006 STREAMS programs were selected to participate in the annual Procter & Gamble Undergraduate Research and Development Colloquium. This is a two-and-a-half day colloquium intended for undergraduate students who are interested in learning about research and development in the health and beauty care industry. Forty students in all are selected to attend "lectures on the application of cutting edge science to R&D, case studies on drug and product development, and demonstrations of key R&D technologies, showcasing the development of pharmaceutical and other health and beauty care products." Students also receive information on successful career management, including instruction on job hunting and interviewing. All expenses, including accommodations, meals and travel expenses, are paid by Procter & Gamble.
