Recent Research & Sponsored Program Funding at a Glance
Over the past five years, the Boonshoft School of Medicine received a total of $117,681,955 in research and sponsored program funding. Major research awards went to the WSU & PHP Neuroscience Institute,the National Center for Medical Readiness, the Lifespan Health Research Center, the Center for Interventions, Treatment and Addictions Research and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Department of Neuroscience, Cell Biology and Physiology and Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. More than 60 percent of the funding came in the form of federal grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA and the U.S. Department of Education.
