Current Volunteer Needs

Front Desk Volunteers

 

Volunteers to operate the front desk during clinic hours of approximately 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. by greeting patients and inputting information into the computer database.

Medical Students

 

1st and 2nd year med students volunteer their time in our medical clinics on Monday and Wednesday evenings assisting the nurses with triage and “shadowing” the physicians from
5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. 
          
3rd and 4th year med students volunteer their time in our physician clinics on Thursday evenings assisting the physicians with physical appointments from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Nurse Practitioners

 

Volunteer nurse practitioners who would like to contribute their expertise in our evening medical clinics from approximately 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Office Volunteers

 

Volunteers who would like to help in the Administrative Office any time during office hours of 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Pharmacists

 

Volunteers with a minimum of R.Ph. who would like to dispense medications to patients following the Reach Out formulary during the clinic hours, approximately 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Physicians

 

MD's or DO's wanting to make a difference in the life of the uninsured in Montgomery County by volunteering for our evening clinics once per quarter, approximately
6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Registered Nurses

 

Volunteer nurses with a minimum of R.N. assisting physicians with the healthcare needs of our uninsured patients during clinic hours of approximately 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Specialists

 

Physicians who are unable to volunteer in the evening clinics but interested in supporting the uninsured by seeing patients in their office during regular hours at a reduced or no cost to the patient.

Translators

 

Volunteers who would like to translate for patients speaking a foreign language by assisting them fill out their paperwork and interpreting between doctor and patient from approximately 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
