About the Reach Out Pharmacy

The mission of the Reach Out pharmacy is to provide initial pharmaceutical care to the uninsured/underinsured population of Montgomery County.

Patients can be referred from neighborhood health centers or upon discharge from an emergency room or hospital. In January 2006, the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy established a “Charitable Pharmacy License” allowing a federally exempt pharmacy to dispense sample medications pursuant to strict guidelines.  The State Board of Pharmacy did an onsite visit and inspection of our pharmacy and awarded Reach Out the very FIRST Charitable Pharmacy License in the State of Ohio! The pharmacy doors opened on March 10, 2006.
