of Research Affairs will host a Central Research Forum on Wednesday,

are invited to attend and participate.
DATA BLITZ (3:30-4:15

just one overhead transparency) to tell the audience why they should
take a closer look at the presenter's research during the poster session.
John Turchi will moderate this fast-paced event.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER (4:15-5:00
p.m.; E156 Student Union): Grants consultant Paul
O'Brien will share his insights about writing successful NIH
proposals. Following a long career as an NIH biochemist, O'Brien joined
Health Research associates, a Rockville, Md.-consulting firm. He has
provided valuable grant-writing expertise to Wright State investigators
for more than ten years.
RECEPTION & POSTER
SESSION (5:00-7:00 p.m.; Multipurpose Room, Student Union): All
School of Medicine faculty and research graduate students are invited
to present posters on their current or recent research. Posters presented
at national conferences in the past year are strongly encouraged. This
session is an opportunity to share your research with colleagues and
potential collaborators in a stimulating, convivial setting.
Data Blitz slots are available
to the first ten poster presenters who ask for them. Please contact
Mark Willis by Wednesday,
October 16, if you plan to present a poster. For more information, email
