Pediatric Resident Salary & Benefits for 2009-2010
Stipends
R1: $43,000
R2: $44,370
R3: $45,700
Vacation
Residents at all levels
of training receive three weeks (15 working days) annually
as vacation.
Conference
Time
Residents at all levels will received five working days as
study time or conference time. If used as study time, residents are expected
to follow study week policy. Civilian residents have an allowance of up to
the following amounts for the purpose of paying for registration fees,
travel, etc.:
R1: $250
R2: $500
R3: $750
Military residents must arrange travel through the USAF
and the Dept. of Medical Education.
Books
All residents have an annual allowance of $150 for
books and/or software. Unused funds cannot be forwarded into the new academic
year.
Meals
Each resident will receive up to $100 monthly for food.

Professional liability ($1M per occurrence/$3M aggregate)
while at CMC, MVH
Federal Tort Claims while at WPAFB
Medical/Dental/Vision insurance through CMC for civilian

Faculty Appointment
Residents are appointed
as Junior Resident Instructors in the Boonshoft School of Medicine. This entitles
the resident to a number of faculty privileges at the university, including
use of the library and athletic facilities and faculty discount at the bookstore.
