The Miami Valley Area Asthma Coalition is a broad-based, multi-organizational, community partnership that brings together the public, private and nonprofit sectors in an effort to reduce asthma morbidity and mortality and improve quality of life for the adults and children who have asthma and their families. The group lists asthma resources available in the Greater Dayton area on its Web site.

Premier Health Partners (PHP) Programs and Events page provides a calendar of events sponsored by hospitals and clinics affiliated with PHP, including childbirth classes, smoking cessation programs, yoga, diabetes education, blood pressure screenings, health information sessions, and more. PHP includes Miami Valley Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Premiere Community Health.

The Regional Postmortem Examination Service operated by the Department of Pathology at Boonshoft School of Medicine makes autopsy available to the next of kin for persons who die of apparently natural causes outside of a hospital or in hospital emergency rooms. It does not provide a medical-legal investigation of death, which can only be performed by a coroner's office, as mandated by Ohio law. Vital Records Information for Ohio explains where to obtain copies of Ohio vital records, such as birth and death certificates, marriage licenses and divorce decrees. The Boonshoft School of Medicine does not operate a hospital and has no birth certificate records.

Wellness Connection of the Miami Valley, funded by Heart & Cancer Wellness Foundation of the Miami Valley, is located at One Elizabeth Place (formerly St. Elizabeth's Hospital). The organization offers health education and screenings, fitness classes and nutritional counseling.

The Wright State University Pharmacy offers information sheets on common medical conditions from anxiety to hypertension, natural remedies and prescription drugs as well as a reorder form for refilling prescriptions.
