The Miami Valley Area Asthma Coalition is a group of people who have come together to look at how to improve the lives of everyone affected by asthma in the greater Miami Valley Area. Members of the Coalition come from many walks of life—including doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, public health workers, people who have asthma, parents of asthmatics, and others.

Our Vision: To improve the quality of life for everyone living with asthma in the Miami Valley Area.

Our Mission: To bring information, activity, and advocacy to the Miami Valley Area to improve the quality of life for people with asthma.

Understanding asthma can help you control your asthma, feel better every day, and prevent attacks.

» Asthma is a chronic disease of the airways

» Asthma can be controlled with proper management

» There are medications and measures you can take for quick relief and long term control

» Symptoms can be reduced

  • Understand and use the correct medications as prescribed by your doctor
  • Identify and avoid triggers
  • Partner with your doctor and community against asthma
