Welcome

The Medicine-Pediatrics program at WSU was initiated in 1980. A strong primary care curriculum centers around the combined adult and pediatric ambulatory practice comprising one of the largest components (30 percent) of this curriculum. The program was one of the first combined medicine-pediatrics residencies to be approved by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics in the new accreditation process for combined training programs.

Ninety percent of our graduates choose careers in primary care; 11 percent of our graduates choose careers in academic medicine; 40 percent choose collaborative practices with family physicians.

The program director is Med-Peds trained and active nationally in the Med-Peds Program Directors' Association. Faculty members are drawn from the Wright State University Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Faculty, past and present, at Boonshoft School of Medicine have contributed more to the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics literature than any other institution.
