How to Apply
Application Information and Criteria for Selection
Thank you for your interest in our Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Applications will be accepted exclusively through ERAS. Please contact your medical school to find out the procedure for applying with this system. To complete your application we require the completed ERAS database, USMLE results, and three (3) letters of recommendation (one from the department chairs of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is suggested), in addition to the Dean's Letter of Recommendation
Most applicants begin residency training within three years of completing their formal undergraduate medical education. U.S. clinical experience is preferred but not required. If USMLE results are less than 200/82 for Steps 1 or 2, we require U.S. clinical experience with a letter of recommendation from a preceptor directly observing your performance.
Although we do not have a deadline for applications, the interview slots fill quickly so it is recommended that applications be submitted as soon as possible.
Information for International Graduates
Candidates must have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Unfortunately, we can not sponsor visas. International graduate candidates must meet requirements for ECFMG certification prior to the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) rank deadline.
