Testing Schedule for Fels Participants

Children of participants are signed up at birth, are seen five times during the first year and then twice a year until age 5 and once a year to age 8 to monitor growth. At this point, they can begin doing yearly body composition testing and anthropometry at half-year visits. Since males and females mature at different rates, their half-year visits differ. This schedule continues through puberty at which time the half-year visits are dropped and participants come in yearly for body composition testing through age 20. Then beginning at age 21 participants come in every two years.
