  • Serial changes and associations among patterns of change in body composition, fat-related variables, and risk factors for cardiovascular disease (e.g., lipids and lipoproteins, blood pressure, fatness, and fat distribution)
  • Genetic epidemiology of risk factors for cardiovascular disease
  • Causal relationships among body composition, adipose tissue distribution, lifestyle, and risk factors for disease
  • The development, implementation, and validation of new methods for the study of body composition
