Application Information and Criteria for Selection

Thank you for your interest in our program. All applications for the 2009-2010 academic year should be submitted through ERAS. All residency positions to start in July 2009 will be filled through the match — no exceptions. Interviews will be scheduled by invitation November through January. Our typical resident candidate has both USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 scores above 210 on the first attempt OR a letter of support from a U.S. medical school or hospital faculty member related to time spent on a clerkship, externship or observership. Most candidates selected for interview will have graduated in 2005 or later. Candidates must have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. U.S. clinical experience is preferred but not required. International graduate candidates must meet requirements for ECFMG certification prior to the NRMP rank deadline. Although we do not have a deadline for applications, the interview slots fill quickly so it is recommended that applications be submitted as early as possible.
