POPmed Medical Student Organization

POPmed is an organization designed to meet the interests of students in Population-Based Medicine. This includes the topics of health systems, preventive medicine, health economics, health care public policy, and any other areas of interest that the organization develops. We believe these subjects are important to the current and future practice of medicine and that through education and involvement in population-based medicine that we can better serve our patients and our communities.

Faculty sponsors include James Ebert, M.D., M.B.A., M.P.H.

Goals

Our long-term goal is to develop a student run organization that meets the needs and interests of students. We hope to offer pertinent topics and possibly help develop career interests for students in population-based medicine, preventive medicine, administrative medicine, physician leadership, health economics, and health policy.

Membership

First, second, third and fourth year medical students at Boonshoft School of Medicine.
