Med/Peds Club
Never heard of Med/Peds? Med/Peds is basically a joint Internal Medicine and Pediatrics licensure. This is a fairly new field and organization at Wright State. It will focus on topics relevant to the practice of the Med/Peds specialty.
Obstetrics & Gynecology Club
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Club is a newly active organization created for those with a special interest in the reproductive health care of women. An emphasis will be placed on the health care needs of patients addressed by Ob/Gyn physicians. Topics of interest include: prenatal care, contraception, menopause and preventative screening procedures.
Pediatrics Club
The Pediatrics Club is an organization composed of medical students, pediatric residents, and physicians. Student members enjoy monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, discussion with fellow students, and the opportunity to interact with pediatric faculty. Student input regarding topic content and meeting scheduling is highly encouraged. The club strives to introduce students to pediatrics as well as to provide support and guidance throughout medical school. Dr. Ralph Hicks is the faculty supervisor.
Surgery Club
The Surgery Club meets regularly to discuss topics related to surgery. The club also provides activities such as a suturing lab and opportunities to spend time with a surgery resident on call in the emergency room.
