Wright State University Gerontological Society

The Boonshoft School of Medicine chapter of the Gerontological Society was established in 2007.

Purpose

The WSU Gerontological Society shall exist to:
A. Encourage the pursuit of quality human services for older adults in Dayton, in Ohio and across the community.
B. Develop and refine the gerontological skills of individual club members.
C. Serve as a forum for discussion of important issues in aging.
D. Provide a way for students to work with members of various disciplines who provide services for older adults.

Larry Lawhorne, M.D., Chair, Department of Geriatrics and Professor, family medicine and geriatrics, serves as faculty advisor for the Wright State chapter.
