Rules and Regulations
(Rules may vary slightly at Satellite Programs.)
General
- The
use of alcoholic beverages or any other type of drugs (not prescribed
by a physician), and gambling will not be permitted for the duration
of your attendance at the Weekend Intervention Program.
- Verbal
and physical abuse or threats thereof will not be tolerated.
- You
are a guest on Wright State's campus. You will be fully respectful
of all other members of the campus community. Any harassment or
behaviors perceived to be harassment--which includes any sexually-oriented
remarks; comments which may be so interpreted; whistles and similar
sounds; inappropriate gestures, and the like--directed at others
on campus, will not be tolerated.
- You
will be confined to the premises for the duration of the weekend.
No one is allowed to leave the meeting area or motel room unless
authorized by his/her counselor, or in the company of all other
participants and staff.
- You
will be required to find your own transportation to and from the
Wright State University campus.
- A
phone is available in the WIP office during breaks or meals. You
must be accompanied to the office by program staff.
- No
change is available.
- No
cigarette machine is available.
- While
in any public area, shirt, shoes and name tag must be worn.
Motel
- There
will be a designated Weekend Intervention Program Staff Room at
the Motel that will be used for coordinating all activities.
- Motel
rooms for smokers are limited and are assigned on a first come,
first served basis. Smokers who are assigned to non-smoking rooms
at the motel will be required to contact the Security Room for permission
to go outside to smoke.
- Upon
arrival at the motel, go directly to your assigned room. Use of
the ice and vending machines is not allowed at this time.
- You
are to stay in your assigned room. No visiting or telephone calls
to other rooms is allowed. You may not loiter in the hallway.
- Notify
security personnel or the Program Director immediately upon arrival
of any room damage or malfunction.
- You
are to call the Weekend Intervention Program Staff Room for all
needs. Do not call the front desk.
- Lights
must be out, and all quiet by 11:30 p.m. every evening. Room checks
will be made each night--no one is allowed to leave his/her room
after 11:30 p.m.
- Local
phone calls only may be made from your motel room.
- Absolutely
no Room Service or outside food deliveries are allowed.
- Housekeeping
will empty trash and provide fresh towels only. All other housekeeping
you desire is your responsibility.
- Wake-Up
calls will be made at 07:00 a.m. and 07:30 a.m. When the telephone
rings in your room, answer it politely.
- Breakfast
is served at the motel from 07:00 a.m.-08:00 a.m. You may go to
breakfast anytime after receiving your first wake-up call.
- No
food from the continental breakfast provided is to be brought back
to your room other than a piece of fruit and/or a cup of coffee.
You must be back in your room by 08:15 a.m. to prepare for departure.
- After
breakfast, remain in your room until you receive a knock on your
door. That will be the signal that it is time to begin loading the
buses. Buses will depart at 08:30 a.m. each day.
- When
leaving the motel, bring all items that will be needed for the day.
- Keep
all valuables with you. The WIP does not assume responsibility for
any property that is left in your motel room during the day.
It
is your responsibility to comply with the above rules and regulations.
Failure to do so can, and likely will result in your suspension
from the Weekend Intervention Program.
