Ms. Conner coordinates the community health advocate program housed at the Center's office at Sinclair Community College. She supervises a staff of six to ten community health advocates, clerical staff, and student workers who are responsible for identifying health uninsured and linking them to existing health care resources. Ms. Conner provides staff training and scheduling and monitors the quality of services to clients. In addition, she supervises the implementation of an electronic information management system (HIEx™) that features client demographics and on-line completion of an electronic application form for Medicaid.

Ms. Conner also collaborates with community groups to provide appropriate support for the Center for Healthy Communities by participating in numerous community coalitions and advisory councils. She chairs the Medicaid Outreach Consortium and co-directs the outreach efforts of the HealthLink Miami Valley Network.

As part of the teaching team, Ms. Conner instructs the Community Health Advocacy course, a 10-week training program taught twice yearly at Sinclair Community College. In addition, Ms. Conner coordinates a semi-annual Medicaid Training session for the community and, as a guest speaker, provides information about community health and human/social services resources at numerous community workshops and seminars.
