Prior to coming to the Center for Healthy Communities, Dr. Cauley worked at George Washington University where she directed the AIDS Policy Center and served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology.
Dr. Cauley obtained her PhD in 1985 at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, her MEd from the University of Cincinnati in 1978 and her BA from DePauw University in 1974. Her areas of research and scholarship include multiprofessional community based education and curricular development, community academic partnerships and the teaching methodology of service learning.
At Wright State University, Dr. Cauley teaches a number of multiprofessional courses and serves on teaching teams in the Boonshoft School of Medicine for courses such as: Ethics in an Interprofessional Context, Multiprofessional Community Based Primary Care, Intervening with AIDS/HIV Patients and Their Families, Community Medicine, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, Societal and Ethical Issues in Medicine, and Ethics Didactic for Psychiatry Residents.
