Vision
The Boonshoft Physician Leadership Development Program (BPLDP)
sets the national standard in preparing future physicians for leadership
roles in medicine and health care.
Mission
The Boonshoft Physician
Leadership Development Program offers first-of-their-kind integrated,
dual-degree curricula for medical students. Two tracks are offered,
one conferring a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.);
another conferring a Master of Business
Administration (M.B.A.). These two tracks are integrated with
the School of Medicine (M.D.) curriculum, and also interact with
each other during the five-year, dual-degree education. Both tracks
emphasize the exercise of leadership in health care and the greater
community. The physician leaders developed in this program have unique
personal and professional skills that propel them to leadership
opportunities in their careers.
