BMB 421: Biochemistry I

Dr. Prochaska, Fall Quarter, 4.0 credits

The primary focus of this course is on the basic principles of the biochemistry and molecular biology of the cell at the molecular level. Our approach will emphasize the experimental procedures used to generate our current understanding of the biochemistry of proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids, so as to understand the foundations of this field. Each instructor will guide you through some of the details in specific biochemical areas using examples from current laboratory experimentation and research techniques.
