Matthew O. Diggs III Laboratory for
Life Science Research
Opened in fall 2007, this 45,000-square-foot building is one of the first university research laboratories in Ohio registered under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability through a variety of energy-saving methods. The building houses the matrixed Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Center for Genomics Research, as well as the
Wright Brothers Institute.

Fordham Health Sciences Library
The Fordham Health Sciences Library, the only academic health sciences library in the Dayton area, was founded as part of the development of Wright State's School of Medicine in 1974. The library occupies almost 40 percent of the Medical Sciences Building on all three floors and provides after hours study space for medical students. In addition to the main campus library, Fordham's collection includes over 145,000 print volumes, 600 current print subscriptions, 12,500 microforms, and 3,600 in other media. Fordham also provides access to the collections of affiliated hospital libraries and a statewide consortium, OhioLINK. OhioLINK resources include: user-initiated borrowing from almost 90 Ohio academic libraries; the Electronic Journal Center, which provides online full-text of 6,000 scholarly journals; more than 100 online research databases; more than 14,000 electronic books; and image and digital resources.
The Fordham Library is well known for its special collections, which include:

Hall
Completed in 1981, this building was named in honor of Wright
State University's first employee, Frederick A. White, who served as
a business manager, vice president, treasurer and acting president.
The building is being remodeled to serve as
a state-of-the-art medical education center, with expected completion in fall 2008. An 18,000-square-foot addition to the existing 59,000-square-foot building opened in January 2007. The addition includes a new 150-seat auditorium
and an anatomy learning center. The following programs and offices are currently housed
