On Campus Facilities

White Hall — Gandhi Medical Education Center

Completed in 1981, this building was named in honor of Wright State University's first employee, Frederick A. White, who served as a business manager, vice president, treasurer and acting president. The building was remodeled and rededicated as a state-of-the-art medical education center in fall 2008. The building includes a new 150-seat auditorium and an anatomy learning center. The following programs and offices are currently housed in the building:

 

Matthew O. Diggs III Laboratory for Life Science Research

Opened in fall 2007, this 45,000-square-foot building is one of the first university research laboratories in Ohio registered under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability through a variety of energy-saving methods. The Diggs Laboratory houses highly productive research labs for the Environmental and Biomedical Sciences Programs and Molecular Genetics as well as the following matrixed units:

 

Health Sciences Building

Completed in 1986, the Health Sciences building adds visual interest to campus with its irregular shape. It houses classrooms, research labs, Laboratory Animal Resources (AALAAC accredited) and the following department and program:

 

Biological Sciences Buildings I & II

Biological Sciences Buildings I and II were built in 1975 and underwent renovations in 2009. The buildings house offices, labs and several university science departments as well as the following department and office:

 

 

Medical Sciences Building

The Medical Sciences Building, completed in 1976 when the medical school admitted its first class, houses the following programs:

 

Wright State Physicians Building

This building at 725 University Boulevard on the Wright State campus serves as a medical office building for Wright State Physicians and also houses the following medical school administrative offices:
