Our mission is:
to promote wellness by supporting social, cultural, and private and public action in our communities.
Our vision is:

Our guiding principles are to promote the dimensions of wellness: emotional, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, spiritual, environmental,and financial, through:

  • Listening and learning from communities;
  • Encouraging inclusion, openness, and transparency;
  • Encouraging citizen participation.
  • Collaborating with business, public, and nonprofit sectors and others interested in wellness;
  • Building consensus before acting;
  • Recognizing and using existing assets;
  • Identifying root causes and basing decisions on evidence; and
  • Establishing the concepts of wellness as a right.

Our Goal is to conduct a Mobilization for Action through Planning and Partnership (MAPP) Assessment focused on 7 dimensions of wellness with the following components:

  • Community wellness assessment
  • Community wellness system
  • Community wellness themes and strengths
  • Assessment of the forces of change that impact assessment
  • Action planning based on the findings of the assessments
