| Kay Parent, Program Director of Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, works with state and local organizations developing community health assessments, policy, health education and prevention programs, and curricula/training materials. Center of Healthy Communities supports and coordinates numerous local and state level collaborative projects focused on basic elements of a healthy lifestyle, including physical activity and good nutrition. | |

The Healthy Dayton Coalition promotes healthier lifestyles through improved nutrition and increased physical activity in businesses, schools and in the general community. |

| Ohio Action for Healthy Kids Zone 9 |
|
Ohio Action for Healthy Kids is a coalition of people interested in healthy schools in the 8 county areas surrounding the Miami Valley. Assistance is available to help schools develop school wellness councils and implement healthy school policies. Action for Healthy Kids presented a workshop for physical educators in Zone 9 on Oct. 23, 2006. Click here to read more about it and access resources.
